It never appeared to be in any doubt, since Brett is such a sandbagging bastard. His complete lack of respect for the handicapping system was evident with two 39 point days to begin the week, followed by other solid rounds for a -2 tour outing. Even Rich's heroic last day performance of 46 points left second place 11 strokes out of reach; even for a man with longer arms and more flexible elbows.
The Marshall magic seems unstoppable, much like the Bulls of the 90's or the Celtics of pretty much any other decade; can a "threepeat" be far off?. Lesser men, unable to step up to the challenge (you know who you are) will of course grumble about "sandbaggers" or complain about the "freaking git", but does shooting 2 under your inflated handicap over the run of a week, on tough, never played before courses REALLY make one a sandbagger? Umm, well, maybe you'd better decide for yourself. (Sandbagger!)

The 2007 tour photos are beginning to make their way online slowly. Nick's photos are there, and hopefully others will follow shortly.

Can you spot the loser?
I've scheduled brunch (well...early lunch anyway) at Caledonia on
April 22 at 11:00am. I've reserved the "back porch" section.
While
we eat, we'll play a little game, wagering for or against the losers
trying to carry the water on the final hole. $20/person, winner take
all. Losing team buys lunch. This will be a good opportunity to load
up on aiming juice.

The general idea is that Nick Mansell and Andrew are playing the back tees, Brett, Wade and Mike are playing the middle tees and Nick Faries, Shane and Rich are playing the foward tees. The only problem with this is that there are several fourballs that have people teeing off all 3 sets of tees. After discussing with Brett, we decided that this was undesirable, as it would slow the pace of play and might disrupt peoples rhythm with all the shuffling of carts between the tees. We decided that 2 tee boxes per fourball should be the maximum.
